Fall themed Project Life kit

Here is my latest Fall themed Project Life kit!  This particular kit contains 86 pieces and offers a wide variety of Fall colors.

There are 12 journaling cards:  2 of each design shown above.

There are 8 banner pieces, in 2 sizes:  The larger banner measure 5" x 1", and the smaller banner measures 4" x 1".

There are 12 banner pieces that form the word "FALL" in a banner.  These 12 pieces allow you to create 3 banners.  In addition, there are also 12 letters that form the word "FALL".  These are the negatives from the banner pieces.

There are 10 banner pieces, with fun Fall words and colors.

There are 15 leaves.  These leaves are hand-stamped and are shown here in three sizes.

There are 18 hand-stamped acorns that also come in 3 sizes.

Halloween Themed Project Life kit

I've been working on expanding my Project Life products and I'm excited to finally show you the Halloween themed Project Life kits.

These kits include journaling cards and lots of embellishments to add fun and flair to your Project Life layouts.

Here are some photos the first Halloween kit.

In this kit, there are 2 black 2" circles, 2 grey 2" circles, and 4 orange 2" circles.  In addition, there are 8 1.75" patterned paper circles.

There are also 8 resin circles and 8 resin banner pieces, along with 5 brads.

 There are 4 smaller banner embellishments that measure 3 5/8" by 1/2" and 4 larger banner embellishments that measure 4 7/8" by 1/2".  There are also 2 Halloween themed tickets, measuring 4" by 1 5/8".

There are 8 folding journaling cards, that measure 3x4 when folded.  

This particular kit includes a total of 65 pieces that can be used in your Project Life layouts or other scrapbooking and card projects.

3 new lunchbox notes

I have to admit that the last few months have been a bit hectic.  I keep thinking that things will slow down, but there is always something being added to the mix.  So, I'm just going to have to find more time to keep up with my card blogging.

Last weekend, I did escape to Ashland, Oregon, to attend my quarterly scrapbook retreat.  I've been going for several years now and I really try not to miss it.  However, I don't scrapbook there any more.  I mostly work on my cards.  To prepare for the weekend retreat, I prepped 20 card projects to take with me.  I felt fairly productive as I completed nearly all of them.

Here are a few photos of the card projects I completed.

I love the button card as the focal point of this card.  My inspiration for this card came from Dawn McVey's blog, My Favorite Things..

For this card, instead of using card stock for the banner, I used an old atlas that I had.  I love the detail that the atlas pages add to the card.

This is a lunchbox note.  I love the idea of writing a little note to one of my children and slipping it in their lunch, backpack, or overnight bag.  So simple, yet so meaningful.  These little notecards open and have just enough space for a sweet little note.

Halloween is just around the corner

I'm excited that Halloween is almost here.  A few years ago I began sending out cards for Halloween and although it is necessarily traditional to send a card at Halloween, I love it!  I love the different elements of Halloween and I think it's great fun to combine those elements in a card.

Here are a couple different Halloween cards I made last week:

One of my all time favorite stamps from Papertrey Ink is the friendship jar.  I just love this little jar!  And just when I thought that this jar couldn't possibly be any cuter, Papertrey designs new things to put in the jar.  I just love this spider and web combination in the friendship jar.

Another favorite friendship jar combination is the little sticks and the ghosts.  I added a bit of Perfect Pearls to the ghosts to give them a bit of that ethereal shine.  I'm also really loving twine right now.

I'm working on a few more Halloween cards, which I hope to get done this weekend, before I begin my Christmas card projects.  I've also been thinking about creating some cute Thanksgiving place cards as well.

As always....too many projects....too little time.

September and Fall

I love Fall.  I love wearing sweaters and sipping coffee on cool Fall mornings.  Fall also means that school is staring and Halloween and Thanksgiving are right around the corner.

Although it's not traditional to send cards for Halloween, I can't help looking for any excuse to send a card...and make a card for that matter.

Here are a few Halloween cards I made this weekend.  My inspiration came from Mish Mash.  I have a few more Halloween cards and party items coming soon.  I'm really excited about using some of the new PTI stamps I purchased recently for Halloween.
