Hi and welcome!  Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to learn a little bit more about NKat Designs and me.

NKat Designs began in 2010 after a tough realization that I was never going to be able to send out as many cards as I was creating.  Although in many ways I felt emotionally attached to each card I created, I knew practicality would win out.  Fast forward to today and NKat designs has grown into my crafting haven.  It is my hope that as I focus more time to documenting my card projects and Project Life projects, this blog will continue to grow as well.

A little about me.....

My name is Nicole Katsikis and I am many things:  mother, wife, employee, sister, and daughter.  During the day, I am an operations manager for a computer manufacturing company, and by night (after little people are in bed), I'm a card maker and crafter.

I began scrapbooking 15 years ago, when my oldest daughter was born.  I look back at those scrapbooks and smile, and laugh a little too.  After oohing over the pictures, I notice how much my crafting skills have changed since then.  Nearly 5 years ago, I transitioned away from scapbooking and moved into making cards.  I think I felt too overwhelmed by a significant backlog in pictures (2 more kids not enough time to scrapbook with little ones).  A year ago I discovered Project Life and knew instantly that Project Life was the answer to my ever growing mountain of photos.  Now, I  make cards like crazy and I can keep up (mostly) on getting my photos in albums.
